Getting There
Getting to the island of Cozumel is easy from anywhere in the United States. Cozumel is located on the eastern tip of the Yucatán Peninsula, 30 mins from the mainland.

There are 2 ways to get to the island:
- Fly direct to Cozumel’s airport (CZM), which 5 minutes north of town and just 15 minutes from the lodging areas. The airport is served by American Airlines, Delta, Northwest, United, and Continental. This is the easiest option, but may be marginally more expensive and the departure times to CZM are usually very early in the morning.
- Fly to Cancun (CUN), take a taxi to Playa del Carmen, and take a ferry to the island of Cozumel. The taxi and ferry rides will add about 2 hours total to your journey and cost about $60 for the taxi (up to 4 people) and $12/person for the ferry. It’s less convenient than a direct flight to CZM, but may be worth it if you can find better flight times, use a frequent flyer ticket, or want to explore mainland Mexico anyway.
We have guests coming from at least 8 different departure airports in the US: PHX, RDU, BOS, LAX, SFO, ATL, DCA, and DEN. Each airport has at least 1 good daily flight to CZM and CUN, usually connecting thru Dallas (DFW) or Houston (HAS). Depending on your airport, expect trip times of 4-7 hours and roundtrip airfare of $450-600.
Keep in mind American and Delta still have lots of open freqent flyer seats into CZM and CUN.
Once you have booked your flights, please send us your itinerary via email so we can help coordinate ground transportation and hook you up with other guests who may be making the same journey.
NOTE: As of Jan 2007, you need to have a passport to travel between Mexico and the US. This can take several months to process, so please submit your passport application (at any post office) ASAP if you don’t have a valid passport.
